A CONTROVERSIAL Southampton "paedophile hunter" has had his YouTube channel reinstated.

As reported, Stephen Dure had his account deleted on Tuesday, as his work doesn't "meet community standards".

The 35-year-old runs TRAP, a group which uses sting operations against those allegedly trying to meet up with underage children.

As reported by the Daily Echo, Dure was jailed last year for falsely accusing a man of grooming teenagers.

YouTube has since reinstated the Lordshill residents' channel claiming that they had made a mistake.

Mr Dure said: "I am happy that I've got it back as it helps me reach more people and exposure is key."

Stephen was also critical of YouTube and social media platforms in general.

He added: "These social media companies only about one thing, and that is money.
