THE following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:

Bernie Bengongo, 25, of no fixed abode. Found guilty of three counts of assault by beating, and one of causing criminal damage by punching a fridge. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and a restraining order, ordered to pay £249 in compensation an £300 costs.

Jordan Eric Murphy, 19, of Silver Birches, Bursledon. Pleaded guilty to drug-driving, driving without a licence, without insurance, and without an MOT, and being in possession of cannabis. Given a community order including 200 hours of unpaid work, banned from driving for three years, and ordered to pay £40 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Damien Archer, 24 of Hobart Drive, Hythe. Pleaded guilty to driving without insurance. Fined £200, licence endorsed with six penalty points, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Vaidotas Braziunas, 41, of Golden Grove, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to drink-driving. Banned from driving for 20 months, fined £461, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £46 victim surcharge.

Stephen Anthony Cornick, 69, of Serle Gardens, Totton. Pleaded guilty to stealing groceries worth £81.62 from Asda. Given a 12-month conditional discharge, and ordered to pay £40 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Rebecca Charmaine Everest, 19, of Clover Gardens, Ludgershall, Wiltshire. Pleaded guilty to drink-driving in Southampton. Banned from driving for 22 months, given a community order including 40 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Andrew William McNeil, 55, of Mendip Road, Millbrook. Pleaded guilty to possession of diamorphine and crack cocaine. Fined a total of £80, and ordered to pay costs of £40 and a £30 victim surcharge.

John Joseph Eden, 30, of Cranberry Avenue, Newtown, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. Given a six-month conditional discharge, and ordered to pay £40 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Ben Pentelow, 20, of Refectory Road, Brighton. Pleaded guilty to drink-driving. Banned from driving for 20 months, fined £120, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Farrid Ahmed Rajab, 32, of Belmont Road, Portswood. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. Given a six-month conditional discharge, and ordered to pay £40 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Gabriel Lois Fernandez, 33, of Greenways, Milford-on-Sea. Pleaded guilty to interfering with a car so it would be dangerous. Given a community order including 100 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Lukasz Wojciech Ksiazek, 35, of Bassett Green Road, Southampton. Found guilty of assault by beating. Given a community order including £150 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay £350 compensation, £620 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Dwain Charles Ward, 35, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing £30 from Coral Bookmakers in Southampton High Street and stealing cash from a separate address. Given a community order, and ordered to pay a total of £60 compensation.

Sean Michael Patrick Moss, 22, of Ashby Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to drug-driving. Banned from driving for a year, fined £230 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Martin Stuart Travers, 47, of Denzil Avenue, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing goods worth £321.65 from Sainsbury's in Hedge End. Given a one-year conditional discharge, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Stuart William Haines, 39, of Birdfield, Chandler's Ford. Admitted breaching a suspended sentence. Sentenced to 20 weeks imprisonment, suspended for two years and ordered to pay costs of £75.
