MORE than 400 Aston Martins gathered in the grounds of a New Forest museum for the fourth Simply Aston Martin rally.

Petrol-heads from around the country flocked to Beaulieu National Motor Museum on Sunday for the event to celebrate one of the world’s most revered sports car marques.

To mark the 25th anniversary of the DB7 going into production, a special area was set aside for the Aston Martin DB7s, from coupes to Volante convertibles powered by smooth six-cylinders to brutal V12 engines.

Aston Martin Owners’ Club members displayed their cars while dealer Aston Martin Chichester showcased a selection of the latest Astons for sale.

Throughout the day, event-goers and visitors voted for their favourite Aston Martin of the show in the People’s Choice Award, with the winner receiving a Beaulieu trophy.

Collecting the most votes from show-goers was Stephen Webb from Fareham with his 2018 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Tag Heuer Edition.

Stephen, who has owned his rare CAR for just a few months, said: “I’ve always had Aston Martins. I just love them.”

Also presented with Autoglym prizes were runners-up Phil Dixon, with his 2017 Aston Martin Vantage GT8, and Les White, with his 2016 Aston Martin GT12.
