AN EASTLEIGH mum was treated to a Mother’s Day makeover to remember.
Gail Rogers won a competition at the Swan Centre after her daughter felt she could do with pampering following a long period of illness.
Surviving a brain tumour and numerous operations in 2016, Gail was then diagnosed with grade 3 breast cancer.
Despite this, she battled on, going through rounds of chemotherapy, and was eventually given the “all clear”,
Gail’s daughter, Louise, said: “She is always smiling, always helping me and the family out and continues to be amazing. She deserves a treat so much.”
Her prize included a £200 shopping spree at Yours Clothing, with personal stylist Jessica Eades, followed by a trip to Boots Opticians, who gifted her a couple of pairs of sunglasses to complete her Summer look.
Gail was then presented with a necklace donated by David Mellor Family Jewellers, and a month’s membership to Anytime Gym in the Centre.
The day was rounded off with a make-up consultation with Christina Headley and a photoshoot with Jason Allen. After her makeover, Gail said: “Thank you so much for such an amazing day. We were treated like royalty and I just couldn’t stop smiling all day.”
Gail beat around 100 other mums to be chosen as the winner of the Swan Centre’s Mother’s Day Makeover Facebook competition.
