PLANNING chiefs in the New Forest have seen one of their decisions overturned by a government-appointed planning inspector.
An appeal was lodged after the National Park Authority rejected an application to build a house and shed behind a property known as The Old Shop in Manchester Road, Sway.
The inspector said: “It would be single-storey and set within a generous garden area. It would not be dissimilar in character and appearance to a residential outbuilding or stable block.
“While visible from neighbouring properties it would be a modest building of unpretentious, rural appearance and in a discrete location.”
