SIX police cars were called to a Southampton road on Wednesday.

Officers arrived at Monks Way, Southampton, at around 4.30pm on Wednesday.

Witnesses said six cars were at the scene and officers later carried out door to door enquiries.

A resident of Monks Way, who has asked not to be named, told the Daily Echo: "I came home at about 4.30pm and saw approximately five to six police car on my road.

"Police were focusing on two cars and talking to people on the scene.

"About an hour after they left they returned with three cars and looked as if they were going door to door."

The Daily Echo have contacted Hampshire Constabulary and are waiting for a response.
