Residents evacuated and man taken to hospital after fire at Southampton flats
RESIDENTS were evacuated from a flat after a fire broke out on the front door of a flat.
Firefighters from St Mary's and Redbridge were called out to the fire on Lower Brownhill Road, Southampton, at around 4.25pm.
A Hampshire Fire and rescue spokesperson said the cause of the fire is unknown.
One man was taken to hospital after suffering from smoke inhalation.
The fire was put out before the fire crews arrived and the stop message came at 5pm.
