POLICE are investigating after a teenager was chased by two other teenage boys.
The incident, which police are describing as an attempted robbery, happened at Leigh Road Recreation Ground by the bandstand at about 4.20pm on Saturday, April 13.
Two teenager approached the 14-year-old and demanded money from him. He refused and ran towards his father, who was nearby.
The two teenagers chased the boy but then left the area when he went to his father.
Officers say the boys are described as being 16 or 17 years old, and both were wearing hooded tops with the hoods up.
One was slimmer than the other and had lighter coloured hair, and the other had a stockier build.
Police are keen to speak to a man who approached the victim's father after the incident and spoke to him.
Sergeant Richard Knight said: “If you are the person that saw this incident and spoke to the boy’s dad, please get in touch.”
