A MAN has been arrested after an incident where a man was stabbed twice in a late-night attack.

Officers detained a 24-year-old man from Fareham on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent following the attack, which happened between 10.30pm and 10.50pm on Saturday, April 20.

Police were called to Lynton Grove, Portsmouth, after reports of an assault.

The incident began in Tangier Road, near the Co-op, before moving into Lynton Grove itself.

A 31-year-old man from Portsmouth suffered two stab wounds and was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said: "We’d like to hear from anyone who saw or heard any of the assault or what led to it, or anyone who has dash cam footage or CCTV.
