A MAN has appeared in court following the death of a man outside a Southampton pub.
Harry Joyce, 27, of Barry Road, Southampton, appeared before Southampton Magistrates' Court this morning, to face an allegation of the murder of Perry Cardy.
Police say Mr Cardy, 52, was assaulted in the Bittern pub on Thornhill Park Road, Southampton, at about 9.50pm on Friday night.
He was rushed to hospital but died on Sunday.
During the two-minute court hearing Joyce gave no plea and spoke only to confirm his name and address.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at Winchester Crown Court on Tuesday morning.
