WE may only have had the school East holidays but auditons will be held in Southampton to find a child cast for the Mayflower run of smash hit show Nativity the Musical.

Following two successful years in 2017 and 2018, the musical will head out on tour for a third year visiting Southampton from December 3 to 7.

Children's casting directors Keston & Keston and the producers are looking for children who would love the chance to sparkle and shine in the cast.

They must be between nine and 12 years old by September 1 2019, be no taller than 4ft 7in (140cm), have strong singing, acting and dance skills and a passion for performing.

To take part in the auditions on May 31, they must live within a one hour commute of Mayflower Theatre and be available to perform on the December dates.

Debbie Isitt, Creator and Director of Nativity! said: “I am so excited for us to be holding regional auditions and I can’t wait to see what the children in Southampton have to offer! Nativity the Musical is so full of joy and we can’t wait to create another magical, family stage show for a third year."

The show is based on every child in every school has one Christmas wish, to star in a Nativity, and at St Bernadette’s School they’ve decided to mount a musical version!

Join teacher Mr Maddens and his crazy assistant Mr Poppy as they struggle with hilarious children, and a whole lot of sparkle and shine to make everyone’s Christmas wish come true.

Featuring all of your favourite sing-a-long songs from the smash-hit films including Sparkle and Shine, Nazareth and One Night One Moment, Nativity the Musical promises to be the perfect feel-good comedy for all the family.
