A MAN has been arrested following an incident at a Southampton beauty salon.
The 35-year-old man was arrested today on suspicion of production of a controlled drug of class B, two counts of assaulting a police officer and an immigration offence.
It comes after a number of police officers carried out an investigation at Propaganda hair and beauty salon on the junction of Lumsden Avenue and Shirley High Street on Sunday.
People living nearby said they saw officers bring out a number of large sacks from the premises.
A number of Hampshire Police vehicles and two fire appliances were also seen outside the shop that is reported to have been empty since before Christmas.
One Shirley High Street resident said: "I was worried when I saw the police I though it could have been anything."
Another said they saw police arrive early this morning before leaving at about 7.45pm tonight.
He added: "Police have been in and out the shop all day it must be something quite serious."
