TV'S FRED Dinenage is to visit retired residents in Southampton.

McCarthy and Stone is inviting Southampton retirees to join television and news presenter, Fred Dinenage MBE, for the grand opening of The Boathouse Retirement Living development on Riverdene Place, Bitterne Park.

The day will take place on May 21 from 11am to 1pm and members of the public are welcome to visit the development and meet Fred.

At 11am, there will be an insightful talk from the VIP guest about his successful television career and everyone will be treated to light refreshments in the club lounge.

Fred said: “I’m very much looking forward to visiting The Boathouse and spending time with the residents of Southampton.

"I will be taking a tour of the new McCarthy and Stone development, and I hope local people will join me at the grand opening as it is set to be a great day.”

Comprising a selection of one and two bedroom retirement living apartments, exclusively for people aged 60-years-old and over, The Boathouse offers retirees the opportunity to maintain an independent lifestyle.

The development features a club lounge, ideal for socialising with friends, landscaped gardens, and a convenient guest suite should homeowners have friends or family to stay.

Nicki Beswarick, divisional marketing manager for McCarthy and Stone, said: “We hope local retirees and their families will be encouraged to attend our event on Tuesday, May 21.

"They will be able to see first-hand our luxurious retirement living apartments, while also taking the opportunity to chat to everyone’s favourite news anchor, Fred Dinenage.

“The development has already attracted a great amount of interest and is now over 60 per cent sold.

"We look forward to opening our doors and showcasing everything The Boathouse has to offer retirees.”
