AN UNLICENSED Hampshire driver struck and injured a biker before fleeing the scene, a court heard.
Robert Lidster was driving a Ford Fiesta without due care and attention when he collided with a motorbike on Salisbury Road, Ringwood.
The rider, Joseph Barnett, was injured in the crash, which took place on November 6.
Lidster, 44, fled the scene and failed to report accident.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court heard, Lidster pleaded guilty to driving without a licence, driving without due care and attention, failing to stop and failing to report.
He was made subject of a 12 month community order, in which he will have to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.
Lidster, of Church Street, Fordingbridge, was also banned from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 court costs and an £85 victim surcharge.
