EMERGENCY crews attended a bomb scare last night after a "suspected ordnance" was found a Hampshire river.
Southampton coastguard rescue team and Hampshire Police attended the scene at Beaulieu river where the suspected ordnance was found in the water near the Southampton Yacht Club just after 7.30pm
The ordnance was ten inches in diameter and was a cylinder shape.
A spokesperson from Southampton Coastguard said: "Luckily it turned out to be a false alarm."
Emergency crews left the scene at 9.48pm.
