CAMPAIGNERS are protesting outside the civic centre ahead of a crunch meeting over a controversial respite centre in Southampton.
They are calling for action to be taken after investigations into the way Southampton City Council (SCC) dealt with the closure of Kentish Road Respite Centre found a number of failings.
Cares will also be asking the authority for a “more adequate” compensation.
Investigations showed faults in care assessments, carers assessments review and poor communication between council staff, councillors, carers and service users.
The reports acknowledge that the council has acted on the recommendation that watchdogs made .
The findings will be discussed during an extraordinary governance committee tonight.
