IT IS the Hampshire pub aiming to provide a homely feel.

The Plough Inn in Bursledon is the pub where the staff want everyone feel at home and want everyone enjoy the hospitality.

General manager Paul Broderick, who has been working at the pub for the past few weeks said that the pub wants to encourage that "home feel".

He added: "We offer a range of Dorset beers and provide fresh food.

"We have lovely hospitality and the team are just great.

"I love working here because I love meeting such a range of people.

"You meet such a diversity of people and it's just great to meet people from different demographics."

Customers can also choose between a wide selection of ales, lagers and wine.

Paul said that the best selling beverage in the pub is the Badger's Beer Tangle Foot.

He added that the best selling meal would be the Tangle Foot pie but said that Sunday roasts prove a favourite with locals.

Vegan and vegetarian dishes are also available and the chef’s specials change every two weeks.

The pub is family friendly hosting a quiz night every Wednesday.

The pub also hosts a new magic show on a Sunday which Paul described as "a great hit".

Dogs are also welcome in the pub with the venue selling dog ice creams for your four-legged friends to enjoy after a long walk.

The pub was taken over by Hall and Woodhouse nearly five years ago and since then has a seen a number of changes including a menu change and refurbishment.

The pub was refurbished in 2015 and bar area was designed with reference to the description of Badger’s Kitchen in children's story book Wind in the Willows.

The pub also supports the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance charity and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
