AMONG the cases heard at magistrates courts in Hampshire were:

Ethan Fitzgerald, 18, of Meggeson Avenue, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to drug-driving. Banned from driving for 12 months. Fined £80 with £25 costs and £30 victim services surcharge.

Peter Christopher Saunders, 30, of Gordon Avenue, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to possessing controlled class B drug. Fined £50 with £85 costs and £30 victim services surcharge.

Ernest Krakowiak, 19, of Belmont Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer. Community order, including requirement to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work, £200 compensation order, £85 costs.

Lance Roy Scholes, 60, of no fixed address. Pleaded guilty to stealing six packs of razors valued at £49.50 from John Lewis PLC. Committed to prison for 12 weeks. Also pleaded guilty to breaching restraining order. Committed to prison for 12 weeks (concurrent), £115 victim services surcharge.

Steven Charles Lunn, 28, of Benhams Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to criminal damage. Six-month conditional discharge, £85 costs, £20 victim services surcharge.

Ian Patrick Randall, 45, of Cranberry Avenue, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to stealing three Amazon fire tablets valued at £389.97 from John Lewis PLC. Committed to prison for six weeks. Also pleaded guilty to stealing two Amazon fire tablets valued at £259.98 from John Lewis PLC. Committed to prison for six weeks (concurrent). Also pleaded guilty to breaching restraining order. Committed to prison for 12 weeks, £115 victim services surcharge.

Darren William Robert Woodruff, 27, of Felton Close, Netley Abbey. Found guilty of drug driving, failing to stop at the scene of a crash, driving without a licence and insurance, and pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis. Banned from driving for 12 months, given a community order including 250 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay £150 in compensation, £620 in costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Andrew Lee Riddett, 31, of Spring Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order. Given a community order, fined £50 and ordered to pay an £85 victim surcharge.

Marek Cichy, 39, of Lundy Close, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to drink driving. Banned from driving for 12 months, fined £389, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £38 victim surcharge.

Barry David Gale, 45, Edelvale Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to assault by beating. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

Robert Lee Cooper, 38, Military Road, Hilsea. Pleaded guilty to stealing items from Sainsbury’s in Fareham worth a total of £559.91. Given a community order including 80 hours of unpaid work, and ordered to pay £85 costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

Ollie Haywood, 27, of High Street, Totton. Found guilty of travelling without a train ticket from Brockenhurst station. Fined £220, and ordered to pay compensation of £6.30, costs of £160 and a £30 victim surcharge.

John Sharp, 47, of Hamlet Way, Gosport. Found guilty of travelling without a train ticket from Fareham station. Fined £220, and ordered to pay £3.40 in compensation, £120 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
