WITH the long bank holiday weekend fast approaching, the question on nearly everyone’s minds is – what will the weather be like?

According to the Met Office, it will be an improvement on the first May bank holiday weekend, which brought below-average temperatures, but we probably won’t get the glorious sunshine of the record-breaking Easter weekend.

The forecast for Southampton tomorrow is highs of 20C, with sunny intervals changing to cloudy in the afternoon.

Winchester will be cloudy with highs of 20C with the chance of light showers by lunchtime.

Sunday is set to be overcast with temperatures dropping slightly and highs of 17C with the chance of a light shower around 7pm.

According to the Met Office, Monday will be cloudy with a high of 16C.

Temperatures are set to drop on Tuesday to 14C with heavy rain showers throughout the afternoon.

Drier conditions are expected on Wednesday and Thursday but temperatures will remain around 14C.
