POLICE are appealing for information after a "series of incidents" in Hampshire.

Officers would like to speak to two men after vehicles parked in the Chandlers Ford area were targeted.

The incidents all occurred in the early hours of May 14 and officers believe around five suspects are involved.

A spokesperson from Hampshire Police said: "A resident in Crossways, Chandlers Ford, was woken at around 3.28am to banging noises outside.

"When he looked outside his window, he saw the lights on his white BMW were illuminated.

"Two males then got out of the BMW and ran off.

"The first male is described as being white and ‘very thin and gaunt looking’.

"He is around six foot tall and weighed about ten stone.

"He was wearing a dark blue woollen hat with a white line around the circumference, a dark jacket with a reflective logo on the back, light blue jeans and dark leather shoes.

"The second male was also around six foot tall, of medium build and was wearing dark clothing.

"A further incident in The Crossways occurred between 2am and 4am on May 14.

"Offender(s) have gained access to a grey transit van.

"No damage caused but a bottle of whisky and some jewellery were stolen.

"Overnight on May 14, a second transit van was entered into on The Crossways.

"The van was unlocked but the suspect(s) have taken a small amount of change and a pair of sunglasses.

"At approximately 2.30am, offender(s) have accessed an unlocked car parked on a driveway in Yewberry Way and have taken a small amount of loose change.

"An insecure VW Polo parked on Morgan La Fay Drive was entered and searched overnight but nothing was stolen.

"On Catmint Close, a car, which had been left insecure, was accessed and coat was stolen from inside.

"A similar offence occurred in Hornbeam Road. The car’s owner was alerted because someone had apparently accessed the car and rummaged through the glove and side compartments. Nothing was stolen.

"At around 4.15am, a man was seen acting suspiciously and trying the door handle of a vehicle parked in Mill Gardens. No access was gained and nothing was stolen.

"Also in Mill Gardens, offender(s) have accessed an insecure car parked on a driveway and have stolen five pairs of sunglasses.

"A locked car parked in Torridge Gardens was accessed and a purse was stolen from the glovebox.
