A GROUP of travellers have parked up in an Eastleigh park.

The group, which has around four caravans, are in the carpark outside The Hub, Eastleigh beside Bishopstoke Road playing field.

Several cars have also been seen driving around the field.

According to Eastleigh Borough Council, it is aware of an unauthorised encampment on the car park at The Hub, Eastleigh.

Council officers will visit the encampment today to request that the travellers leave the site.

A council spokesperson said: "We are continuing to monitor the situation and the council will follow its normal procedure for dealing with unauthorised encampments."
