HAMPSHIRE police executed a drug warrant this morning in Southampton, where they seized a small amount of cannabis.

Officers forced their way into a property in Benhams Road at 10.30am and conducted a thorough search, which is part of a campaign to reduce drug-related harm.

The campaign, called Fortress, aims to disrupt drug supply and safeguard vulnerable people at risk of being exploited.

No one was arrested at the scene and Hampshire police advise residents to call 101 if they suspect drug-related activity happening in their neighbourhood.

A spokesperson from Hampshire police said: "Reports help us build up intelligence pictures of what is going on in neighbourhoods and helps us to take action where it’s needed most."
