AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a man at his home in Bursledon.
Winchester Coroner's Court heard 41-year-old David Clarke, of Diligence Close, died at his home on February 6.
In a report to the coroner, pathologist Dr Adnan Al-Badri gave a preliminary cause of death of severe respiratory depression (breathing difficulties), which was contributed to by morphine and promethazine use, and sleep apnoea due to severe obesity.
Senior coroner Grahame Short adjourned the inquest to October 10.
