Whilst at our local Tesco for the weekly shop, we were approached inside the entrance by a gentleman who explained he was from that notable charity the Air Ambulance Service.
We were ready immediately to make a donation for his charity, but unbelievably he refused to take money and wanted us to sign up for a regular monthly lottery entry which we could not undertake.
We fail to understand why he could not take money, as I’m sure that a lot of people would have been quite happy to have put something in a collection tin as they left.
Sadly the charity has lost out from a guaranteed source of income, why ?
