Port Solent is bracing itself for a pirate invasion this summer which will see live music and fun for all the family.
The event will feature a Captain Jack Sparrow lookalike, Simon Newton, the only credited photo double for Johnny Depp from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’, including other pirates performing short stunt sequences throughout the day.
From 10:30 until late on June 15, families can enjoy entertainment from pirate band, The Captain’s Beard, performing folk music and party band, Kojaks Revenge playing a mix of current and classic hits.
All guests are encouraged to come in their best pirate costumes and there will be a best costume competition for adults and children. Visitors can also take part in a treasure hunt around Port Solent to find the hidden loot.
Lisa Fowler, events and marketing manager said: “We’re excited to announce Port Solent’s first Pirate Invasion, especially as it’s the only pirate themed event in Hampshire."
