A LIFEBOAT rushed to rescue an unwell person yesterday evening.
At approximately 5pm, Cowes lifeboat was launched to a drifting Yacht that had suffered an engine failure.
An injured person was taken to shore, and handed over to the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
The Yacht was drifting north-east of Hillhead Buoy, close to the Hampshire shore, and was later towed across the Solent. It arrived at Trinity Landing, Cowes at around 7pm.
No other members of the crew are believed to be injured.
