A HEDGE End hairdressers is being repaired after CCTV shows burglars drove into its doors and broke into the building.

Three masked thieves stole the till and a mobile phone from La' Ora Hairdressing in Hedge End, after entering through the door in the early hours of yesterday.

They then rummaged through the back of the salon, but did not take any other items.

This incident happened at a similar time of morning when ramraiders targeted Co-op convenience stores in Netley and Sholing.

Owner of La' Ora Hairdressing Dan Thomas, 34, from Curdridge, said: "The police phoned just after 6am, so I rushed down there after watching the CCTV from my home.

"The till had no cash left in there overnight and the phone taken is used to play music through the stereo - there's nothing to steal here except from shampoo.

He added: "I'm more annoyed as I've worked so hard to create a brand and someone can just tarnish it in seconds, but it is what it is."

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "We received a report of a burglary at an address in St Lukes Close, Hedge End, which happened around 4.10am on June 19.

"A vehicle was used to drive into the front of the salon to gain entry and a phone and a cash tin has been reported stolen.

"Investigations are ongoing.

"Anyone with information can call us on 101, quoting 44190210285."

The salon has remained open since the incident.
