TWO men have been arrested following a stabbing in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
A 54-year-old and 57-year-old were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, after a 30-year-old man was stabbed on Raby Road in Hartlepool.
The incident happened at around 2.30am on Tuesday, June 25, which resulted in the 30-year-old being taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
The man was taken to hospital in a serious condition, but he is now said to be stable.
Both men have since been released pending further investigation.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: "Additional high-visibility patrols have been in the area and members of the local community who may have concerns are asked to speak to their local officers or contact Cleveland Police on 101.
"Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Hartlepool CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting event number 106345."
