A THIEF who stole an electronic tablet and hundreds of pounds worth of clothing has been banned from a Southampton department store.
Mark Fitzearle, 28, stole an Amazon Fire e-reader from John Lewis at Westquay on March 23.
He also stole £640 in clothing from same store on February 14 and £493 of alcohol and clothing, also from John Lewis at Westquay, on May 28.
Fitzearle, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to three counts of theft and admitted breaching a conditional discharge order, imposed in December.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Fitzearle was made subject of an 18 month community order, including a nine month drug dependency treatment programme.
He was also made subject of an 18 month exclusion order, banning him from John Lewis at Westquay.
Fitzearle was ordered to pay compensation of £500 to John Lewis, fined £50 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85.
