A HAMPSHIRE man who took a boat without the owner's consent has been fined.
Edward Kenneth Phillips, 40, took the rigid inflatable boat from Bursledon.
Southampton Magistrates' Court heard Phillips did not have the consent of the boats owner and allowed himself to be carried on it.
He pleaded guilty to the offence.
Phillips, of Boswell Close, Botley, was fined £395.
He was also ordered to pay £85 in court costs and a victim surcharge of £39.
