PRINCESS Margaret was presented with a bouquet of blooms when she joined the Girl Guides in the New Forest.
“I love Foxlease and would like to be able to come here more often,” the Princess told guider in charge Hilary Chittock on July 22, 1989 as she paid a visit to the Girl Guide Association training centre near Lyndhurst.
More than 400 Guides, Rangers, Brownies and guide leaders were there to see her open the Coach House, a hostel which had been newly renovated.
