THE sounds of more than 100 instruments graced the air as music schools across Winchester got together for a jam.
The event, organised by Hampshire Music Service and held at Stanmore Primary School, involved more than 160 children from 14 different schools across the city.
The idea of the day was to encourage pupils’ enthusiasm for music. instrument teacher for Hampshire Music Service Carl Clausen said: “We hope the pupils enjoyed playing together. For many it will be their first playing in a group.
“Hopefully some will later join one of the many ensembles run by Hampshire Music Service.”
