A STALL at Romsey market is set to cease trading.

Bespoke Biking based in Middle Brook Street in Winchester announced that the company will no longer be providing repair services at the market every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Bespoke Biking founder Heather Evans, said: “While the stall has been busy, we are limited in what repairs can be done on the stall, meaning the logistics of getting bikes back and forth to Winchester has proved time consuming. Added to that, we are very busy in our new Winchester shop, so need to consolidate staff over the Summer holidays.”

The stall’s last day is currently set to be July 6.

However, Heather tadded: “We are pleased to say that we have made contact with a local bike mechanic who may be interested in taking on the Romsey stall, so keep watching the market.

The news of the closure of the Bespoke Biking Stall comes after it was reported that Romsey Town Council is set to jointly manage the market alongside Bradbeers for the next 15years.

Both organisations are working on a new business plan for the market with the intention of introducing new traders, rebranding the market and improving the offer to the general public. The market currently has an mix of traders trading on one or more of the days, stalls include flowers, bread, olives, mobile phone repairs and accessories, pies and sausages, soap, fresh fish, bike repairs, cards and clothing.
