AN ALCOHOL thief stole more than £1,000 worth of spirits from the same supermarket in three days.
Samuel David Hook, 34, stole more than 20 bottles of alcohol from Asda in Gosport in three days in April.
In one theft, on April 26, Hook stole £631 worth of alcohol.
He also stole £189 worth of alcohol on April 24 and £268 on April 25.
On May 11, he also stole five bottles of wine, worth £162, from Morrisons in Gosport.
Hook, of Sherwood Road, Gosport, pleaded guilty to four counts of theft at a hearing at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.
He was given a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.
Hook was also ordered to pay £544 in compensation to Asda and £80 in compensation to Morrisons.
