POLICE are hunting for the driver of a blue car after an amusement arcade employee was tied up during an £11,000 raid in Southampton.

They would like to speak to the driver of a dark blue Honda Integra which was seen close to the scene at the time.

Officers say the incident took place at Golden Touch Amusements in Above Bar Street at around 6.50am on Tuesday, June 18.

They say the lone staff member was bound while a burglar emptied money from the safe.

The employee was not injured during the incident.

DC Christopher Barrow said: "We’ve issued this image of the car as we believe the driver may have vital information which may help our ongoing investigation.

"The vehicle has a number distinguishing features including a rear spoiler, blacked out rear windows and an off-set front number plate.

"So please look at the image carefully. Is this your vehicle? Do you know whose vehicle this is? Have you seen this vehicle parked up in your neighbourhood? If so, we would really like to speak to you.”

They are still looking to trace a man captured on CCTV in the area.

An image of the man was issued two weeks ago and police are still keen to speak to anyone who thinks they might know who he is.

He was wearing a camouflage pattern coat with a hood and sunglasses and was seen in the area at the time of the burglary.

The police are keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the man or remembers seeing someone of this description in the area when it happened.

Anyone with any information relating to the vehicle, or sighting of the man is urged to contact police on 101, quoting 44190209006, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
