EMERGENCY services rushed to the scene of an incident in Southampton city centre today.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue received a call at 9.37am reporting a fire at an address on Portland Terrace.
Crews from St Mary's, Redbridge, Hightown, Totton and Eastleigh were in attendance and supported by four ambulance vehicles.
Despite their speedy arrival an alarm had in fact been triggered by a "blowout" light fitting.
No one was injured and a stop call came in at 10.01am.
