A SCOTTISH man has been arrested in the county on behalf of Devon and Cornwall police.
The 36-year-old man was stopped at Tebay Services at 12.20pm yesterday.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "A 36-year-old man from Scotland was arrested on behalf of Devon and Cornwall Police on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
"The car, a Peugeot 206, was allegedly stolen from the Devon and Cornwall force area the previous night, July,3.
"After liaising with Devon and Cornwall he was released under investigation.
"The driver was unlicensed, uninsured and wanted for other offences."
