A WEST End man has been banned from the roads for three years after pleading guilty to drug driving.

Benjamin Jonathan Strode-Gibbons, 31, was caught driving with Benzoylecgonine, a breakdown product of cocaine, in his system.

He was driving on Lydgate Road, Southampton, on March 22.

Strode-Gibbons, of Carpathia Close, West End, admitted drug driving.

He also admitted breaching a conditional discharge.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Strode-Gibbons was banned from driving for three years and fined a total of £180.

He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £30.
