A SOUTHAMPTON road is closed after a serious crash.
The crash is on South East Road at the crossing near to The Robin Hood Pub in Sholing.
Two vehicles are thought to be involved and a ground team from the air ambulance has attended.
The road is blocked both ways and there is slow traffic in the area.
A spokesperson for South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said: "We received a 999 call at 12:05 with the caller reporting a collision between a car and a motorcyclist outside The Earl of Locksley Pub on South East Road.
"We sent an ambulance and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance critical care car to the incident.
"The rider had sustained a serious lower leg injury and after initial treatment at the scene was then taken to University Hospital Southampton."
