A LORRY driver caught using his mobile phone at the wheel on a Hampshire motorway has been hit with a court bill totalling almost £1,000.
Damian Arkadiusz Pytel, 29, was caught using his phone while driving a Man HGV on the M3 at junction 10, for Winchester.
Southampton Magistrates' Court heard the incident took place on November 17.
Pytel pleaded not guilty to a charge of using a mobile phone while driving, but it was proved in his absence.
He was fined £220, ordered to pay court costs of £660 and a victim surcharge of £30.
Pytel, of Navigation Street, Leicester, was also given six points on his licence.
