A SOUTHAMPTON man who racially abused another man has been jailed.
Marcus Liam Connell, 49, also used threatening or abusive words or behaviour towards another victim.
Both incidents happened in Southampton on April 3.
Connell also attempted to steal £25 worth of Chocolate Cream Liqueur from John Lewis at Westquay on the same day.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, Connell pleaded guilty to two counts of using threatening or abusive language or behaviour, one of which was said to be racially aggravated, and pleaded guilty to one count of theft.
He also admitted committing offences while on a suspended sentence.
Connell, of Northam Road, Southampton, was jailed for a total of 30 weeks.
He was also ordered to pay £120 in compensation to his victims.
