THE sights and thrills of the Ellingham Show return again on Saturday.
The popular country show, which is organised by Ellingham & Ringwood Agricultural Society, takes place all day at Somerley Park. Attractions this year include horse shows, livestock, donkeys, heavy horses, a scarecrow competition and dog shows.
The event raises thousands for charities in the area and organisers are hoping to eclipse their efforts from last year.
Show secretary Tom Harvey said: “We arranged to give more than £30,000 last year. The whole purpose is to stage a great show and give money away to some brilliant causes.
“The tall order for us is to beat what we raised last year,
“Everybody who works on the show is a volunteer and they give their time to help it go smoothly.”
The traditional show dates all the way back to 1947.
