POLICE are looking to speak to a man in connection with an assault after the victim's jaw was broken.

The incident occurred at around midnight outside the Mountbatten Pub in Lordshill District Centre, Southampton, on Saturday, June 1.

A altercation broke out outside the pub between two groups of men when the victim was assaulted.

The suspect is described as being a white male wearing a baggy white t-shirt. His hair is described as being shorn at the sides with slightly longer hair on the top.

Now, police have released CCTV still images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson from Hampshire police said: "We would like to speak to the man in the CCTV image in connection with an assault at a Southampton pub which left a man with a broken jaw.

"An altercation began between two males in a group stood outside of the pub, which was closed at the time and the victim was assaulted.

"The incident occurred at around midnight outside the Mountbatten Pub in Lordshill District Centre on Saturday, June 1.

"The victim, aged 33, and from Southampton, later underwent surgery for a broken jaw.
