A KNOCKOUT amount of cash was raised when Itchen scouts held an It’s A Knockout contest at the Royal Victoria Country Park, Netley Abbey,
A plethora of fun games kept the cash pouring in on August 19, 1989. The money was raised for the cancer-fighting Magic Bullet Fund as teams in fancy dress competed for the traditional knockout trophy - a boot.
Knockout organiser Maureen Hall said: “We’ve raised money and everyone’s had plenty of fun at the same time, watching or taking part, the turnout has been tremendous.”
