POLICE say they helped a Boomtown 'straggler' who was attempting to walk back to London.
Officers say they spotted the party-goer walking on the A34 northbound, several miles from the festival site, at the Matterley Bowl, near Winchester.
They say the reveller was attempting to walk back to London – a 65 mile journey which, according to Google Maps, would take roughly 21 hours.
Police took the person to the nearest train station.
Hampshire Response Cops posted about the incident on Twitter.
They said: "Just saved a straggler from Boomtown, walking on the A34 northbound attempting to walk back to London.

As previously reported in the Echo, Boomtown Fair is expected to draw in nearly 67,000 revellers from across the country this weekend.
The five-day event at Matterley Bowl is set for its biggest year yet, with headliners including American singer-songwriter and rapper Lauryn Hill, rap-rock super group Prophets of Rage, and The Streets, the iconic alternative hip-hop band.
