Having had the privilege during the early 1960s of seeing Riverside Park transformed from a council waste tip into the wonderful public amenity it is today, I note with concern (as reported by the Daily Echo) the increasing levels of violence and vandalism occurring there now.
Maybe the recent £80,000 McCarthy and Stone developers contribution to the area would have been better spent on increasing and improving the CCTV in the area to benefit the WHOLE community, instead of a ‘handful’ of fair-weather cyclists.
