STUDENTS from across Hampshire were celebrating their A-level results this morning with smiles, cheers and tears of joy.

All across the UK 18 and 19-year-olds collected their A-level results this morning, hoping for the grades they have been working so hard to get.

At Richard Taunton Sixth Form College in Southampton, students averaged at a 97 per cent pass rate with 61 per cent of grades awarded A* - C.

Students studying vocational qualifications achieved a 99.7 per cent pass rate.

At Brockenhurst College, more than 600 A-level students received their results with the overall pass rate at 97 per cent.

The percentage of students achieving A*-B grades was 40 per cent, with almost two thirds achieving A*-C grades across all their subjects.

A 100 per cent pass rate was achieved in 23 A Level subjects.

At Bitterne Park Sixth Form College students achieved a 23 per cent achieving a A* to A grade, and more than 50 per cent were awarded an A* to B.

Hampshire Collegiate School are celebrating the best set of A-level results in the school’s history. Students achieved a 100 per cent pass rate with 53 per cent achieving A*, A or B and 79 per cent achieving A*, A, B or C.

Peter Symonds College in Winchester had a pass rate of 98 per cent with 34 per cent at A* or A and 62% B or above, with a total of 659 A* grades overall. more than 70 per cent of grades awarded for the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) were A or A*.

At The Arnewood School Sixth Form, more than 40 per cent of students achieved A*- B grades.

A total 53 per cent of students at Burgate Sixth Form achieved an A* to B grade and 81 per cent achieved the grades A* to C.

Barton Peveril saw a 99 per cent pass rate with 55.8 per cent of students getting a A* to B and 81.7 per cent achieving A* to C.

King Edward VI School in Southampton had a 100 per cent pass rate this year. A total of 82 per cent of all grades were at A*, A or B with over half at A* and A.

City College Southampton students have achieved a very successful set of results in their Level 3 courses with a 100 per cent pass rate archived in most subject areas including business, construction, engineering, hairdressing, hospitality, marine, motor vehicle, and travel and tourism.

St Anne’s Sixth Form has seen a 23.4 per cent pass rate of A* and A and 46.8 per cent of these results at A* to B.

Itchen College students are celebrating a 98 per cent pass rate,with 41 per cent of students achieving A*-B and more than two thirds achieving a grade between A* and C.
