Congratulations to those that have set up the SO19 Neighbourhood Watch Group. Nobody will disagree that the Police regard a great many crimes that affect the majority of the population as low priority.
I get sick and tired of hearing about the police having a lack of resources, but maybe there has been a loss of 20% of officers, but not 100%
Above the rank of police constable, the force hierarchy is sergeant, inspector, chief inspector, superintendent, chief superintendent, chief constable, assistant chief constable and deputy chief constable. Do we really need all these high ranking highly paid positions, along with their pensions.? Surely the answer to many crimes would be to patrol an area to adopt a policy of crime prevention, then there would not be a need for neighbourhood groups to give up their time doing a job that should be done by the police.
