A GOSPORT man who stole bottles of alcohol and power tools has been jailed.
Liam Stephen Darby stole two bottles of pink gin, a bottle of champagne, five bottles of Jack Daniels and a bottle of Famous Grouse from stores across Gosport and Portsmouth.
The cost of the thefts, which took place between February and June this year, totalled almost £250.
The 27-year-old also stole three Stanley Fatmax electric drills, worth a total of £330, from The Pompey Centre in May this year.
Appearing at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court, Darby, of Inverness Road, Gosport, pleaded guilty to six counts of theft.
He also admitted failing to surrender to court.
