MASKED men armed with a crow bar broke into a Hampshire village general stores and demanded keys to the post office.

On August 24 three men with their faces covered entered Crookham Village General Stores after smashing the glass door.

The incident happened at around 4.20am and 4.35am.

The men smashed the glass door and threatened the owner inside. One man was carrying a crow bar.

The owner did not hand over the keys and the men left empty handed, leaving the scene in a silver coloured Seat Ibiza or similar type vehicle.

The owner was assaulted during the incident and suffered a cut to his face.

The men have been described as white aged between 25 and 35-years-old.

One man stood 6ft tall and was wearing a khaki coloured hooded top and a dark neck warmer than covered his face.

Another man is described as being 5 feet 10 inches and wore a dark grey hooded top with a black neck scarf over his face.

The other was smaller, about 5 feet 6 inches and was in a dark coloured top.

Officers rushed to the scene and carried out a search in the area but no one was found.

Now officers are appealing for witnesses.
